
Teri Hatcher was born Teri Lynn Hatcher on the 8th of December 1964, in Palo Alto California. Her mother, Esther, was a computer programmer for Lockheed Martin, and her father, Owen, was an electrical engineer as well as a nuclear physicist. Teri trained in ballet at the San Juan School of Dance and was born in Sunnyvale, California. Fremont High School was her home. She was the captain of the Featherettes dancing team and was named "Most Likely" to be an Solid Gold Dancer. Hatcher was a graduate of De Anza College, where she took classes in engineering and math. She also took acting classes at San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater. Teri confessed that her uncle Richard Hayes Stone had sexually harassed her at the age of 5. She also helped Santa Clara County prosecutors in their investigation into Stone after Stone's 14-year-old victim committed suicide. Stone was found guilty of four counts of molestation. Stone died of colon cancer while in prison
