Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America, is an actress as well as a performer. The parents of Kristen Bell are Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier who are both news director on television. Her family was from Huntington Woods Michigan. Her birthplace was in the town of Huntington Woods, Michigan and was raised by a Polish mother and a father who was German, English Irish, Scottish, and Irish. Kristen found her talent in entertainment from a young age. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after going to the first audition. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother prior to the age 13 and she was subsequently hired as a model in advertisements on television and newspapers. At this time, she also began private acting lessons. Bell played an uncredited character in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School where she took part in musical as well as drama. She was cast as Dorothy in the production for high school of The Wizard of Oz. Bell then moved to New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student there. In 2001, Bell quit her university in order to play the role of Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. In 2001, it was also that Bell made her first appearance in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). The scene she appeared in has been cut out and only the credits show her. Bell made an appearance with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
